How To Setup MetaMask
In this article I will write a clear, step by step way of setting up a Metamask account.
- DOWLOAD METAMASK — Visit https://metamask.io
2. INSTALL METAMASK — We do this by clicking on Download now and then Install MetaMask for Chrome/Brave/FireFox/Edge
3. SETUP METAMASK — Once MetaMask is installed, click on click on the MetaMask extension
4. CREATE ACCOUNT — Create an account by clicking on Get Started and then selecting Create a Wallet
5. CREATE A PASSWORD — Get a pen and paper and have a place to store this password. You will not be able to access your account without it.
6. CREATE A PASSWORD — Click on Create. WARNING — DO NOT CLICK REVEAL SECRET PHRASE UNTIL YOU HAVE A PEN AND PAPER. MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN A SECURE LOCATION AND THERE IS NO ONE BEHIND YOU.
NOTE — IF YOU LOSE YOUR SECRET PHRASE, IT IS UNRECOVERABLE. THEREFORE ALL YOUR FUNDS WILL BE LOST ASWELL
7. WRITE DOWN AND CONFIRM — Select each phrase that you wrote down in order exactly as they appeared
8. Click Confirm and then you are done.
9. OPTIONAL — Click on the MetaMask logo once you are logged in to bring you to your main dashboard
